“ Brooklyn Farmacy is part ice cream parlor, part time machine. Such a fun, old school atmosphere, and the milkshakes were delicious. I had the peanut butter shake, and it tasted so authentic, not like processed sweets or candy. Little chunks of peanut inside gave a really nice texture. It was an especially nice touch bringing out the preparation tin with the shake itself, almost like a bonus serving. Seems like they can reach capacity pretty quickly here -- a good problem to have, but also one that can lead to longer wait times if service is slammed. Really cool spot to check out if you like sweets! ”
“ Food: This dessert shop is excellent! The menu has a variety of desserts including ice, creams, sundaes, milkshakes, ice cream, floats, frozen hot chocolate, hot chocolate, other frozen treats, and more. There's a little sign by the register with each day's ice cream flavors. At this place, I've tried their cardamom and pistachio ice cream as well as The Minty which is like a mint chocolate milkshake. Both were excellent and I would highly recommend them. Service: Staff are very friendly. You order and pay in front and find an available seat. You receive a little stand with a number and the staff will bring you your order when it's ready. Ambiance: The decor and ambience is very cute. The inside looks like an old-fashioned soda fountain shop. There are tables for both larger groups and smaller groups. It's a great hangout spot, and they even have some board games in the back. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot! ”
“ We have never heard of this place before but we were drawn in by the old fashioned wooden country vibe. You order right upon entry which may be overwhelming if you come spontaneously like we did without familiarity with the extensive menu. We got the vanilla egg soda cream which is a misnomer as it has no eggs. The recipe is actually posted in the cute bathroom consisting of milk, seltzer and syrup. We split the affrogato. The affrogato wasn't the best I've had. Overall it was a cute store with many dessert options. ”
“ Brooklyn Farmacy and Soda Fountain is a vintage soda shop blending up milkshakes and decadent sundaes in a space formerly occupied by a pharmacy. We've come too many times to count since we moved to Brooklyn last March. Some of our favorite things to order are the Broken Dreams sundae (crushed pretzel rod and vanilla ice cream topped with warm caramel and whipped cream), Sir Twix-A-Lot (shortcake with caramel in a milk chocolate shell), 99 Problems (brownie topped with chocolate ice cream and doused in vanilla shakes all encased in a dark chocolate hard shell), and most of all, the frozen hot chocolate topped with house made marshmallow. This is our favorite place to get ice cream in NYC. We love the old-school feel to the space and goddamn are the sundaes good. Brooklyn Farmacy proves that ice cream can in fact cure anything ”

The toasted marshmallow brought everything together. The employees were friendly and the vibe inside was like an old diner. ”

The decor, the service, the waiters' uniforms and the charm of it all gives this restaurant, tucked in the heart of buzzing, family centric Brooklyn, so much life. Caramel Apple Sundae-a little more cinnamon was needed, however the presentation and ice cream were top-notch. The Rocket Milkshake- this milkshake has espresso in it so think Frappuccino with a flavor kick and more creamy richness. Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate-in my husband's words: good. Which is saying a lot. If you're a little chilly this drink lived up to "hot" because he was definitely feeling it on the car ride back to the hotel. All in all, this is a local spot where we saw families come in to share a treat to celebrate, away from the touristy parts of the city . They also have something called an egg-cream, which I can't try because of the milk content, but it's one of the items they are well-known for and if I had the lactase enzymes, I would have most certainly tried. ”
“ Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain is a dessert / ice cream / sundae shop on Henry Street. It is in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn & is near Bar Bruno. We came here on Christmas Eve 2023 as we wanted to satisfy a craving for something sweet & it was one of the few places still open the day before X-Mas. We had a lovely experience here, and it was great that our first time here was during the Christmas holiday season. Decor consisted of lighting in the front of the establishment in their window display and a beautiful Christmas tree suspended in the air above Brooklyn Farmacy & Sode Fountain. Walking into the place, I like that it gives an "old-fashioned diner" feel, and they had holiday themed desserts like Egg Nog Ice Cream & Spiced Cake on the menu. Counter-style stool seating as well as standard table./ seating arrangements are there as well as an outdoor patio dining area for people to enjoy during the warm weather months. Customers are able to seat themselves. Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain, in addition to having desserts already mentioned, sells, pies, cakes, wines & spirits, milkshakes, cookies, hot chocolate, etc. The menu has a pretty good selection of decadent dessert options. We ordered a Caramel Apple Pie Sundae & we also enjoyed Moon Pie. I had a glass of good white wine. The Caramel Apple Pie Sundae was absolutely delicious. Staff are so friendly and gracious.
